Leveling Plate Caster

Leveling plate casters (also known as leveling casters) are used in vending machines, retail displays, laboratory equipment, workstations and other equipment that is constantly moving but must remain stationary while in use. They allow equipment to be rolled or repositioned and save time when reconfiguring floor plans or production lines. Each caster has a top plate that is bolted to the bottom of the unit. Each caster also has a leveling pad that can be raised to allow the caster to roll or lowered to prevent the caster from rolling. The height of the pad can be adjusted to level the device. As the leveling pads of each caster on the unit are raised and lowered, the weight of the unit will temporarily be concentrated on fewer casters. Therefore, the combined maximum capacity of the casters should be twice or more than the weight of the equipment. The leveling plate casters are swivel casters that swivel 360°, allowing the device to change direction while rolling.

Attach the mounting plate on these casters to a flat surface using screws or bolts. Adjust the leveling pads to keep the unit still and compensate for uneven ground.

Nylon wheels are impact and abrasion resistant. They work great on smooth surfaces. Polyurethane wheels combine the abrasion resistance of plastic with the shock-absorbing properties of rubber. Their aluminum core adds strength to the wheel without sacrificing cushioning. Use on smooth or rough floors and areas with clutter.

Turn the thumbwheel to lower or raise the leveling pad. The ratchet pulls out for easy adjustment and retracts when not in use.
